PENTINGNYA STANDAR KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU SENI BUDAYA DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI DI SEKOLAH

Cultural Arts Learning has a function and purpose to develop students' attitudes and abilities in working, appreciating and playing a role in improving student achievement at school. The professional competency standards that cultural arts teachers have in teaching are very important, the importance of a competent cultural arts teacher profession in the field of work that must be done with professional qualifications that are in accordance with the teacher's work. As a profession, teachers must be proficient, capable, and meet the minimum quality standards obtained through teacher professional education. Therefore, teachers must be professional. The purpose of this writing is to describe the professional competence of cultural arts teachers. This writing method uses a literature review, namely the author uses various reference sources, both from research results, literature and previous research documents as well as other authors' thoughts that are reformulated by the author. The data collection technique used in this study is a literature study technique where this research is carried out by collecting data related to or relevant to research from scientific journals and other publications that are worthy of being a source of research. Cultural arts teachers who have professional competency standards are evidenced by academic ability in the form of certificates or educator diplomas. Not only experts in mastering art but must have expertise in teaching their knowledge to students. The expertise of art teachers in mastering the field of art science must be accompanied by the ability to understand the state of students, analyze and develop the curriculum, plan art learning, conduct assessments and evaluations and be able to realize the functions and objectives of learning Arts and culture, namely to develop students' attitudes and abilities in working, appreciating and playing a role in improving student achievement in school.
