THE ROLE OF ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR IN IMPROVING ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE

This study examines the role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in improving organizational performance. OCB refers to voluntary behavior performed by members of an organization outside of their formal duties. This study uses a literature study review method by analyzing various articles, journals, and literature related to OCB and organizational performance. Research findings show that OCB has a significant positive impact on organizational performance. OCB can affect productivity, service quality, innovation, employee satisfaction, and organizational image. Some of the factors that influence OCB include organizational commitment, organizational justice, organizational support, and transformational leadership. Therefore, organizations need to develop an environment that encourages and facilitates OCB to improve overall organizational performance.
