Abstract

Implementation Of Online Learning at SMPN 1 Ciruas during the covid-19 pandemic season. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on learning practices that have switched to using online methods. This study aims to describe the implementation, constraints, and strategies of schools in overcoming obstacles to online learning in class X SMPN 1 Ciruas. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation techniques for data collection. The results of the study indicate that online learning is carried out by utilizing online-based platforms and applications, namely Microsoft Teams. The teacher conducts a virtual meeting at the beginning of the lesson to deliver the material, then uses Youtube and Whatsapp for material reinforcement, assignments, and assessments. Constraints that arise include (a) not all students use mobile phones independently, (b) the presence of parents who have not been able to fully assist students in learning, (c) the internet network is less stable, and (d) limited time spent in online learning, so teachers find it difficult to monitor student attitudes when studying at home. The strategic steps that have been taken by the school are (a) increasing teacher capacity in mastering digital technology, (b) using more varied and interactive online learning media to reduce student learning boredom, (c) seeking to deliver material to students the day before learning, and (d) involving parents intensively for communication and coordination in an effort to help supervise and assist students' learning at home.
